And the Winner is . . . WHO?
Someone posted on social media that they couldn’t believe they reached the age where they didn’t know who any of the stars were on a recent award show, The Golden Globes.
I’ve been feeling that way for a while, but this year it didn’t bother me. I’m an award show junkie and I love watching just to see how everyone is dressed. I don’t care that I don’t know half the attendees anymore. It’s still fun and it’s perfect for multitasking (Words with Friends, Candy Crush, FB, etc.).
As much as I love award shows, however, I no longer watch any music ones because I think they’re basically disgusting. I’m tired of seeing women in the music industry disrespect themselves and their gender with their behavior, clothing, and dance moves.
Yes, I can proudly say I have finally morphed into my parents.
But I look forward to the Oscars, Golden Globes, Critics’ Choice, and the SAG Awards. I love seeing the choice of clothing, how silly some of the celebrities are without scripts, the host roasts, etc.
But, I have to say I never thought I’d see the day when Leonardo DiCaprio was one of the OLDEST celebrities in attendance. And I have to admit, it actually made me feel younger. Everyone is finally catching up.
