Ouch
Growing up, I always believed that if I didn’t feel good, it could always be fixed.
As I got older, I still held on to that belief, and did my best to make sure I addressed my aches and pains before they turned into problems. I was determined to feel my best.
As I continued to get older, I began to realize that perhaps there are some aches and pains you just have to live with. A sort of pick your battles kind of mindset.
As I continue to get older, I’m starting to get fed up with that pick your battles mentality and I’m reverting to wanting to get all my aches and pains fixed again, not just some of them. The difference is I no longer believe they can all be fixed.
So, at what point do you just chalk things up to age and adjust your life around your medical conditions? What’s realistic and what isn’t?
For instance, all my limb attachments could use a little help. They’re not necessarily broken, but they kind of hurt. A tear here, a tightness there, a spasm both here and there. You get the picture.
I’m like Old MacDonald Had a Farm, here an ouch, there an ouch, everywhere an ouch-ouch.
Anybody else feeling my pain?
